Hey Guys,
I have a 55 gallon that has had green water for over 6 months. I've tried everything, no light, diatom filter, daily water changes, etc. I don't want to dump chemicals in my tank either. So, the time has also come to upgrade the tank, as the fish have outgrown it. My question is, will using some of the gravel and filter media from this tank to seed the new tank also bring over the green water? I don't want my new 125 gallon to look like my 55 gallon, but I also don't want to wait a month to fishless cycle the tank without any seeding.
Thanks,
John
