Is 80 F To Hot?

Ive been keeping my tank at around 80 F latly but im wondering do you guys think this is to hot?

Sounds OK to me - my tanks are kept around this temp without problem.

I've even had them hovering around 84-87 during most of summer without loss - dunno if the fish were all that happy about that though.

Depends on the fish. Some fish can tolerate high temperatures for a few hours or days but eventually it wears on them and they die. I have Clowns and an RTBS at a steady 80F but my Cories are at 74-76F and my Kuhlis are usually around 72-74F. My Zebras are at 76F.

Then what would you say is a good general temp? 75?

All around, yes. 74-75° is good for most tropicals.

it all depends what fish you have, in the summer my tank ranges from 78-82 F and i never had a problem.

I keep mine around 78 but 80 is not going to kill your fish or anything. If you're worried just turn down your heater.

Im just worried that it will stress my new Julli Corydoras.

as long as you keep the temperature fairly constant with no sudden changes, they should be fine
