Interesting Addition To Tank?

Hi,
I have a 52 litre tank with 12 guppies a small shoal of cories and a few shrimp.
I was looking for a/some fish that would be an interesting, colourful and peaceful.
I've thought about a small shoal of chili rasbora but they look a bit like guppy fry and I have plenty of those
I've also contemplated a pair of dwarf/pearl/honey gourami but I've heard that the male can be aggressive when breeding or terrotorial to the other gourami.
I'm not really looking for tetra, mollies, platies ect. I don't really have enough space for a load of them.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi Chris, the tank looks quite stocked with the current fish. If you really want to overstock,make sure you have adequate filtration as it will be calling for disasters if you add more fish.

Far too many fish in there already, without knowing how many Corydoras you have (you should have 6 of the same species, they behave better and look great in 10+ numbers in a suitably sized tank, I hope your ones are C. pygmeus; hastatus; habrosus or panda as very few other species are suitable for <60cm long tank), your stocking is more in line with a tank of ~100l.

I thought it might be a bit overstocked but the most recent guppies I added showed no sign of illness and all fish are healthy so I thought that the tank could cope
I was just worried that I might get a bit bored of mostly guppies and 5 peppered cories

Ssssshhh it's a secret. Please don't tell my new jack russell puppy I have a betta and call him buddy. When I talk to the betta(crazy I know), the dog comes and starts pulling my pants to get a bit of attention. I can't pet the cat without her coming to what she thinks is her teddy bear I am really glad the dog hates swimming
