So... this whole time I have thought I had 1 female BN plec and 1 male BN.... welp... I am officially thinking I am the owner of 2 males.........
I've been wondering why Geppetto hasn't tried wooing Cleo... and I guess that would explain why they chase each other off?
Bummer. :(
Cleo might be a dude.....

Ho old are they?  They are pretty hard to sex until they are a bit older.  My male didn't start developing his bristles really, until he was about a year old are so.

males will have more dominating bristles on the nose compared to the female which will have close to none or every short ones.
also depending on the size of them you can't sex if to small.

Well I got them from my sister. And I originally gave them all to her. My brother brought a Styrofoam cooler to the house with like 100 baby BN in it! And I didn't have a tank at the time, but my sister had a 150 gallon. And she said she would take them. That was well over a year ago. Well over!!! So I don't know if maybe those babies had babies... or what. Because I got mine about 6 months ago. And they were only like 2 inches... and the bigger one started to get bristles not long after I got him. And now his whole face is covered! And he is about 4+ inches. And the other one is slightly smaller, but has started to get them at the tip of his/nose. But I think they might be growing up the front of its face, which makes me think it is a boy.... :/
I will try and post pictures of them. But its going to be hard... they are camera shy!!!
I posted pictures not long after I got them. But they look totally different now!
