Im looking for an albino/leucistic axolotl =]

if anybody has any inkling of where to find these guys or has some themselves I would be most grateful!

Im in the uk, manchester area

ps, the setup is ready and iv done my research!

Someone was advertising a pair of axolotyls, one albino, in the classified section of this forum. Not sure if they have ben sold, worth checking

Have you tried B.A.S in Bolton?? I've not been there for a few years but I've seen Axolotls there before.

I had a pair when I was a kid, even though I'd no idea what they were before getting them! naughty I know. Still, they lived to a ripe age of 8 so hopefully they had a good time, and lots of worms

There is a place near me who sell them, but im down near Reading...

Seen them in there the last two times I was in there. Will find out the name, and if they mail order..

Most pet/reptile places will have them in. There are several just near me and it's not as built up as where you are, so there must be somewhere.

I just bought 3 and know the fella has 8 more to sell I think - he's charging £15 each for them and they're 9 months old - don't know how you're fixed for transport but it could be a possibility for us to go get you one and then bring it up to Walsall on the weekend for you to collect (90mins from Manchester)?
It would prolly work out more expensive for you though - as it would also cost us in fuel to go get him as this bloke lives an hour from us and cost you in fuel to come get it from walsall.

If you're really desperate - offers there :)
But I agree there must be an aquatics or reptile shop nearer who sells axies!

thanks =] ive checked my usual places [which isnt very many] and nothing =[

Ive responded to a few adverts on sites advertising them so possibly could get one, i had a reply but he wouldnt post cause of air or something?

=[ lol

Have you tried the aquarium at cockfields nr Ashton?

I went to the place local to me (they did have them in, lots actually), and they have said that they are not posting anything untill they get warmer weather.
Most of their suppliers will not ship unless they sign a disclaimer saying that any deaths in transit are not the suppliers problem! As a result, they are using a local supplier for fish/insect/reptiles, with a much poorer selection.
So, unless you can find one locally, I think you might have to wait till things warm up a bit to get one posted!

I have 2 young axies that i'm looking for homes for but i wouldn't have the first clue how to go about posting them.

awww that would have been brilliant! I guess it is a little cold needs to be within 10-22C maybe a heat pack? oh i dont know :(

Ill try asking other shops further afield, but it seems they cost an arm and a leg lol
