I have Blue Green Algae in my 180L Amazon tank and it just won't go, I have removed the light reflectors, the CO2 turned the lights off for 5 days and kept the room in complete dark, feed them every two days on a small amount of food. But still it returns and returns and now to add insult to injury I have hair algae on my Vallis, on Tuesday I am removing my Gibbiceps the main waste machine in attempt to lower parameters and deter the algae. My qestion is-I have purchased two Viresoc Aquarium Tablets that are supposed to compete and defeat the algae, they tell me to add the two tablets to a jug of water from the tank and let stand for an hour and add to the tank, I have just left them to stand. Is this my best option or is it something else, please do not refer to articles as I have already read to many and nothing is working.

Thanks

The best thing I can tell you do to is go talk to Phantom of tetra at www.aquamaniacs.net in the Aquatic gardens section. He will be able to help you a whole lot more than I can at the point. He has helped me more times than I can think of when I was starting out and he still helps when I got a question I don't know the answer to. Go there and give him as much info as possible on what you have done to your tank. The more into you give him the better chance he has of helping you figure out how to fix the problem.

Thanks Rose I have PM him with all my info.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully he'll be able to figure out what's going on. Keep me posted on what he says.
