I bought a tank off ebay last week and these 2 fish were in it.

Chap said they were both guppy but they look a lot diffeent to each other although they do swim around together as if they are best mates.

Below is the larger fish. This is 6cm total length and a fat little beasty

Bottom pic - smaller fish. This is 4cm in length and not so fat

Many thanks, and thanks for welcoming me into your community. I hope I can make new friends and also benefit from your experience in this new hobby of mine. - Andy

Both balloon mollies. Top one looks female, bottom one looks male. Or the first is a normal molly but pregnant.

fist = silver molly
second = silver balloon molly

They have different fins to each other. is this because they are different sex?

They have different fins to each other. is this because they are different sex? Also the first one (larger one) is the boss of the tank and chases the black mollys, shark and betta away from his/her corner

OK. I'll take your word for it. I am new to this game and have no idea.
Thanks for the quick replies and hopefully the female is pregnant. Andy
