Fish Crazy
Ok so i realize that treating Ich is a very common question here and i have read through quite a few older posts and done a lot of supplemental reading and have a few questions that hopefully the experience of this forum can answer for me. Im worries that i caught on to what was happening way to late and as a result may loose a few more fish here, I had 4 Polkadot loaches and 2 were swimming kinda weird but not all the time so i figured they were just playing, then one night while intently watching the tank noticed some white spots on one of the loaches, said, hmm thats weird i should look that up, then promptly went to bed and forgot about it for a few days, now i have 2 loaches, i died yesterday and the other one has been MIA for about 3 or 4 days now... never found a body though... Anyway one loach looks like he has been salted with white spots everywhere and the other loach has 3 or 4 spots, 3 days ago i started to slowly raise the water temp to 30 C so much reading said use heat and salt rather than chemicals, and some said that at 30 the ich would not be able to reproduce, i am hesitant to add salt as i have read quite a bit about how the Loaches are a lot less tollerant to the salt so was hoping to just use the raised temperature... is the 30 C going to be hot enough to prevent the ich from living? the other tank inhabitants all seem to be quite healthy and active.. anyway, just wondering what peoples experience has taught them and what they think i should do....
