A couple days ago I was cleaning out my tank and while I was doing this my dalmatian mollie jumped out. I don't know how long she was out because I didn't see when it happened. But after that I noticed that she was staying only at the top for a few days. Yesterday when I was feeding them I didnt see my mollie anywhere and then I found her in one of the decorations completely horizontal and I thought she was stuck. But then she started swimming around and it was a very pathetic sight. She swims like she has no control over her body. Her body gets all curved and sometimes she flips upside down. Everything was fine until she jumped out, and all my other fish are fine. I just feel so bad! What sort of damage could that lack of oxygen done?

Sounds like she might have a swimbladder disorder if she's swimming erratically, upside down, sideways etc.

Is she still able to feed? If so, try giving her a crushed pea as that sometimes helps with swimbladder problems.

Unfortunately, if the problem worsens and she is unable to eat (because she cannot locate the food and reach it) then the outcome looks bleak - but let's hope for the best at this point in time.

It might help if you turn your filter current flow down for now, so that it doesn't flip her about too much whilst she is in this unbalanced state.

Best wishes - Athena

She swims normal sometimes, but a lot of the times its so erratic and out of control. She does come up for food, though. As soon as I drop it in she's one of the first ones up, so thats a good sign! I'll try the peas method and hopefully it will help, because I hate seeing things suffer.
