those of you may know that i had a problem with my 15 and new 33 gallon set up

well now i have a problem with my 28 gallon =[ whilst the rest are now fine

i'm pretty sure its fungus and i am treating with ektol fluid ive done that twice now and it still hasn't gone away!

why?!?! what can i do?! my water is perfect!

and another problem is that i found my female betta dead today, she had no physical signs of illness but her fins were shredded to pieces, any ideas? is there a culprit? shes been in there with the same fish [in sig] for a few months now

will it never end?!

Does the ektol fluid treat columnaris. I think it does just want to make sure.

Your tanks overstocked can you post water stats please.

The guppies and the ram could have shredded your female betta to bits. Rams can get quite grumpy and terrorial.

I agree with Wilder your tanks seem very packed and this may be the root cause of all the prolems you have been having.

Perhaps consider rehoming some of you fish or increasing the filtering to help with the water quality.

Good luck!

there isnt a ram in there anymore its in my 15g

i have double filtration and ive never had any water quality problems

ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate <5

ektol fluid contains meth blue so i believe it does, its affects anabantids the most so thats why ive been losing so many =[

If there no improvement remove med with water change and black carbon.
Then I would try myxazin by waterlife and pimafix.

okay thanks ive taken out the carbon

Ive removed the 2 very ill looking ones into a little hospital tank with ektol fluid, low temp and a lot a aeration

in my 28 ive added a half dose of ektol and put the filters on full so theres lots more aeration aswell with a temp of 26 [ i cant get it any lower :\]

i dont know if ive infected my 33g cause of my hands

You can infect other tanks by using equipment that has not be steralised in boiling water.
After you finished in a tank always wash your hands in a bacterial soap.
Never use water from a tank that has desease.
