What a strange weekend of fishkeeping this has been, my lovely little Cory that was always burying itself died. It had been acting odly for a few weeks and so even though my water stats appeared OK I decided to do a water change just to be on the safe side. as I took the hood off my filter there is was!!!! a tiny guppy fry, now I know they have lots of babies but to be honest I always let nature take its course and never even get to see the fry, but this one Tiny red with black tail just like one of the mothers ???
How long had it been there? if cory hadnt died I wouldnt have found it in time, so we have named it cory-wag as a kind of tribute.
Now how do i llok after Cory-Wag? I dont have a fry trap although I intend to get one in the morning from LFS so for tonight I have put it in a bowl with some tank water and a speck flake food, just in case, do you think it will survive the night? I dont have my central heating on through the night , will it be warm enough? if it survives the night and it goes into the trap how long does it stay in there and lastly what does it eat?
I know it seems like a lot of fuss over a guppy fry, but it feels like a miracle that it was found and it restored my faith in fish keeping as I was so upset over the death of Cory.
any advice would be appreciated
:good:

If you have got one chances are you have got more  .If it has colour pigment chances are it's been surving for more than a couple of weeks on it's own.I just feed my fry crushed flake.Others feed liquifry(sp) and dalphinia.

Yes it deff has colour its orange with black tail about 1mm in lengh, I checked through my filter and didnt find any more if mits more than a couple of weeks old it has also survived a filter rinse 2 weeks ago!!! its becoming more and more my little miracle.
I shut all the windows last night to try and keep some warmth in the house and it has survived, it looks healthy bouncing around the bowl so im gonna get the trap today and get it in the tank where I will feel happier about its well being.
Thanks for advice I shall also get some liquifry today. :fish:
