I have a few questions

I went out and bought some plants for my 55 gallon tank & I'm afraid I may have not done my homework...

First of all I didnt write down the names of these plants but for sure, I have 2 amazon swords but that's the only name I can remember.

All together, I purchased about 12 plants. The only fish that is in my aquarium right now is a Pictus Catfish.

I noticed snails in the tank now, what should I do?? they are very tiny, what kind of threat do they pose?

I bought a timer for my light source, is this a good idea??

Is there an index with pictures on the net anywhere so that I may do a little reasearch on the plants I bought?

Any other advice would be greatly apreaciated

P.S. does anyone know how I can modify the pic size when I upload an image here?

Timers for your lights are a good investment.
As for your snails, I love snails, use this as a legit excuse to by loaches ,
