Well, what can I tell you?
When I started at my job, they had a healthy, but rather ugly and sparse Juwel Tank. They had a load of work done in the summer holidays and bought a Juwel Rio 400, for added impact! On our return, the man in charge of the fish, did not cycle, and basically tipped the contents into the new tank. Within days it was full of bright green slime algae and lots of new fish!!!! Within a few more days the tank was full of whitespot. I mentioned to the receptionist and she said she would have a word. That was 3 weeks ago, and still no treatment.
The contents of the tank are, a few plastic plants, platys, tiny tiger barbs, a huge pleco, a single endler guppy (bought new singly!), a rainbow fish, a handful of zebra danios (one of which has columnaris!!!), and I have saved the best until last ....... the latest addition is a single DISCUS!!!
I am gobsmacked at the ignorance of some people. I have tried to tell them, but no-one will listen. It is my last day tomorrow, and I wonder what else will appear in the tank, whether it may be fish, a new type of algae or disease!
Sorry for the rant.
Julia
