Voted other. I think they are a great idea, but maybe a little pricey. That being said, normal heaters seem to be pricey too at around the £15 - £20 mark. I'm looking for an eth200 or 300 too. I've been warned to watch out though, as the first batch of these heaters was dodgy. Newer ones are fine apparently though. Just a case of making sure you've got a newer one from whoever you buy from.

come on guys\gals there must be some more votes out there :(

buy a decent in tank heater.

my main concern with any 'inline' heater is they make another 2 points
in the water hose that could potentially fail and thus empty your tank,
as an EX-LFS employee I've seen it happen a few times.
Admittedly mostly due to installation error by the customer but a few due a manufacturing defect.

I've had 2 ETH300's on my 135g for a few months now. I'm really happy with them; the temp stays solid, they're easy to hook up and fiddle with the temp and most importantly, my oscar has no glass heaters in the tank to try and destroy! It has a hook which you can thread a piece of string through and properly secure it to the tank.. I can't imagine how it'd come loose if you do this. The only down-side IMO is the cost.

I've got 2 ETH300's on my 75g and think they are worth the money. Had them for over a year now and had no problems. BUY it
