How To. Suction Pipe Alternative

its taking far too long to drain water from my tank using the gravel vac and theres only so much vaccing i can do. i use a 20mm thick bit of old external filter pipe to drain one of my tanks, what can i buy/use to drain water faster?

I use a garden hose, suck the end of the tube and put it in my bath.Sorted, go watch TV till it's finished

i know but it will take too long as most hoses are only 13mm max when i do a water change im on a tight schedule  but i will do what you said if i have to

Small water pump, you'll empty a tank fairly fast with a 1000lph pump.
