How To Clean Calcium Deposits

Ok i dont know if its calcium deposits...but that mineral stuff on the tops of the tank and on the lid.

Its on this 10 gal i want to set up as a quarantine tank but it is very very crusty!

How to i get all this off safely!

I buy second hand tanks all the time, most of which do have this awful stuff. If you put the tank on its side (in a ventilated place!), let some WHITE Vinegar sit on the deposits for a couple minutes, (2 or three is enough. One minute is usually all the time it needs to sit there), They'll wipe right off. At least, they always have for me.
