How Powerful

I brought a external filter a few weeks ago now and was wondering how powerful it should be.
The filter is a Aquarium External Filter 1000 L/H made by All Pond Solutions. http/www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/aquarium-external-filter-1000-l-h-1212-0.html
When it is turned the water doesn't shoot out of the bar it more like trickles out. At the moment I have a Fluval 4+ running along with it until the bacteria has built up in the external filter but as the water is only trickling out of the spray bar I'm not sure if it's running 100% right
I have always had an internal filter which pumps the water out fast so not sure how fast it should pump out of an external is it normal to come out slow.
I have checked the pipes the spray bar and for airlocks but everything seems to be fine.
Does anyone have the same filter

is that the one off ebay? if so, im pretty sure a few people on here have one at 1000l/ph it should be kinda blasting out lol - i'd say its faulty myself/

That's the one and it certainly not blasting out

aww no - have you taken off the spray bar and felt how fast the flow is? it might be worth emptying it, refilling and trying again, in case theres an air pocket somewhere. if it still doesnt work properly you'll have to email the seller

well it shouldnt have conked out already. email the seller and ask for a replacement upon return
