How Much Pain!?!?

Has anyone been put in any serious pain by their fish? When I was at college I got a shock from an electric catfish because there was a hole in the glove I was wearing... That felt like bein hit by a piece of 2by4 and my fingers didnt seem to work as well for an hour or two and I've seen a lungfish attach itself to someone, that was nasty to see.

I have heard being stung by a Lionfish is so painful that someone put their hand in a bonfire to stop the pain! thats pretty hardcore! Anyone have a box jellyfish tank?!!?

Any horror stories?

(Pretty morbid but I'm curious!)

This reminds me of a class-trip to a little island just outside of Norway, called Bjørnøya. Someone had catched a "Lophius piscatorius" (sorry, don't know its english name) and had chopped the head off of it. The teacher told him: "Don't put your hand in the mouth" (the head was completely disembodied at this time (of the fish, of course ))

Well, of course he put his hand into its mouth, and then it bit him. Hard. Blood everywhere. Even though it was disembodied.

A friend of mine once got stung by a dwarf Lionfish. It's spines brushed his hand and he thought he'd got off lightly, until his hand started itching like mad. The next day his hand was covered in black patches where the Lionfish had got him. Then it got sore and started bleeding. Finally, it turned into a bad bruise colour.

He's ok and could've been worse. Probably not all that bad due to the fish being a dwarf juvenile.
