How many tetras can I possibally have in a 10G tank? What about a 29G? What are good tank mate with different kinds of tetras? Could I keep Rams with tetras and corys? Right now I have 10 tetras and 2 corys in a 10G tank. Is this ok and can I add more? Thanks for all the help!! I am very new to these fish....I have just raised cichlids in the past.

if your tank is mature, i think you can push it to around 15 fish in a ten gallon (i personally find the one inch per gallon rule utter rubbish). but keep an eye on the levels of ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. for a 29g i think you could do around 25-30 small tetras (again provided the tank has been up and running for a while).

What kind of tetras in your 10g?

The only thing you might consider adding is a few more corys.

I Have 3 penguin tetras, 4 neon tetras, 2 orange looking ones that are about a quarter of an inch, and 2 corys that are 1/2 inch. Why would a few more corys be a good thing? I'm getting a 29G tank for x-mas so I was thinking about what kind of community tank I would want....I was wondering if you had any suggesions on a community tank that inculed the fish that I have in the 10G? I was thinking about getting some kind of small cichlid to go in the tank with the tetras....would you know what cichlids go good with them? That would be so cool of you. I'm new at this tetra thing and think it would be cool to get a community tank going. Thakn you for the help.

Id leave that little tank as it is, wait till the new 29Gall is up and running, then swap them all over to it and add more of the same then. There is no point adding to a tank that will be dismantled soon.
