Well, after a conversation I had on another board, I'm seriously thinking about getting species specific after my other fish pass and doing just Silver Dollars. Right now I have two Silver Dollars and a Silver Dollar Red Hook and I was told that I probably should get some more. I was considering going species specific for a while, but now I've pretty much decided. So I have a few questions.
Right now I have:
2 Silver Dollars
1 Red Hook Silver Dollar
1 Lemon Tetra
1 Black Skirt Tetra
3 Zebra Danios
1 Sailfin Pleco
1 African Knife
So, question #1: With my current tank set-up, how many Silver Dollars can I have?
My tank is 75 gallons and is 1.5 feet wide, 1.5 feet tall and 3.5 feet long, thereabouts. If I went species specific and didn't have all the other fish, how many Silver Dollars could I put in there then?
And for my last question, and this is probably one of those stupid fish myths that refuses to die.....do you have to have a catfish in order for your tank to remain "balanced/clean"?
