How Long For Meds To Go?

How long does it take for meds to leave tank water? I've treated my 38 litre for whitespot on some neons(finished about a week ago) I've done 3 one third water changes since and chopped up a juwel carbon sponge and put in one of those little air powered corner filters(been in since monday night). Thing is I'm getting some algea shrimp today and wondered if they would be ok as the meds said not good for invertabrates. Do you think they would be better off in my other tank(juwel 180l) and be transfered later on or are they a bugger to catch?

put some carbon in your filter and it will be gone within a few hours
