How Do I Make Photos Smaller?

I want a picture of my bristlenose to be my profile pic but it is about 8 times too large. Any way or should I pic another one?

There are various ways to do it. Maybe the easiest is to ggogle 'resize photo for avatar' and yo can do it online.

Personally I just use Paint to edit all my photos before uploading.  It has Crop and Resize buttons where you can set the size in pixels.  A forum avatar only needs to be about 200 pixels wide, so I would do that and you should find the file size is just 100k or so.
