High Nitrite

Water changes. Your tank isn't cycled (what is your ammonia reading). The only way to lower nitrite or ammonia until the tank finishes cycling is water changes. Do a 50% WC immediately and then another one in 2 hours and another in 2 more hours. That will probably still leave the nitrite at .75ppm and you need to get the ammonia and nitrite below .25ppm. After that do 20 to 30 percent changes as needed to keep the ammonia and nitrite below .25 ppm.

What size is the tank and what/how many fish are in it?

now after water change its 2.0 little bit better

As mentioned, do another one in 2 hours and then another one 2 hours later. You have got to get it below .25ppm or you will soon start losiing fish. What/how many fish do you have in the tank and what size is it?

its been 2 hours it went to 1.0 that good

1ppm of nitrite is definately not good. As was said before you need to get it to below 0.25ppm so you need to do more water changes.

i know its not good but its better than 3.0ppm

good post as usual from you

Grimster, what the heck you doing with 3ppm Nitrite in your tank mate?

If your fish are salt tolerant, even a small amount can reduce nitrite toxicity, but stick to RDD advice and make sure it doesnt happen again my friend!

Are you gonna shed light as to how it got that high? you will know, i know you been studying on here, what conclusions have you come to as to how this happened?

are you going to do anything about it now that you have admitted and found proof of it?

im going to keep on changing water until it at .20ppm

ok, you fixed the symptom, are you going to fix the cause?

no and yes im upgrading tank size instead of my ten im getting a 29 gal i know i said i was gettin a 46 gal but my mom was stressing out about it breaking my desk so im all pe ode and asked if i can aleast get a 29 and she said ok for that . thats a bummer . :/ :X but it is better than a 10 gallon

you gonna get rid of more fish then since you cant get a bigger tank?
