Hello everyone,

I have been an aquarist for about 50 years. My focus is on aquariums with very little technology, without heating, without filtration, sometimes even without a flow pump. But there are some exeptions.

I have about 1,000 litres in 15 aquariums in my house and two small ponds with 250 and 1,000 litres in the garden.

Kind regards,

Marion alias Gertrudae

Schönen Gruß aus die Nachbarschaft, Marion...

Welcome indeed... :hi:
I was raised with low tech tanks and that has always worked for me. Also overhere no heaters, cheap lighting and some tanks without a mechanical filtration.
Also I've started over 50 years ago (52 to be more precise). Even up till now I'm keeping it all low tech. And that's also how it will be for many years to come...

Thank you!
My stocklist now
Western Africa: Anomalochromis thomasi, Synodontis nigriventris, Phenacogrammus aurantiacus, had Microctenopoma ansorgii (on my wishlist and one of my favourite fish)
Asia: Tanichthys albonubes, T. albiventris, (more T. species on my wishlist) Macropodus spechti "Royal Blue", Sewellia lineolata, Medaka, Boraras naevus, Pangio curneovigata, Trichopsis pumila, Danio margaritatus
America: some strains of Endler's Guppys, Ancistrus
Australia: Pseudomugil gertrudae
Non fish species
Some jars with invertebrates: Hyalella azteca, snail leech, water louse and divers freshwater snails
And of course my Euscorpio italicus

Most of the fish in one species tanks.
