I currently have a saltwater 29usgal tank that i would like to change into a freshwater tank. All the fish in the tank died due to a disease :-( . Is it possible to clean everything out and turn it into a freshwater tank?
And if it is what would be some good fish to keep in it? And could i keep the filter its a penguin biowheel 200.

I'm sure if you clean everything you could start again with a freshwater tank..

Fish wise.. you'll have to decide if you want to keep a peaceful community type tank.. or just keep 1 or 2 medium sized fish.

I was thinking 2 angelfish and a plec a bristlenose plec

Instead of the pleco I would go for a school of otos. They eat algae their entire lives (unlike plecos who will slowly ween off of algae as they get older and simply eat the leftover food in the tank) and stay small (2 inches/ 5cm max) so they can clean in all the nooks and crannys.

I actually have an oto( and yes i do know they like to be in groups and im gettin more soon) its just i really like plecos. I have taken care of them before and would like a smaller species. Any recommendations? How big do Gold nugget plecs get the new petsmart sells them apparently?
