Help!

My gourami just died and i dont know why. Ive just vacuumed the gravel, cleaned plants and rocks, cleaned out the pump and power head and scrubbed the glass hoping it will help. I dont know what type of gourami it is. Ive noticed he was sitting at the bottom latley but i thought he was just doing his normal mischief. If you can help please do. I appreciate this.

Should have read it properly...
From what you described on another post, it sounds as though it could be a Dwarf Gourami which are prone to infection and never last very long.
If you can confirm what type it was, then it may help people work out what was wrong.

I suggested a dwarf gourami on the other post but he thought otherwise.

okay i will find it in google images if i can and i didnt do research but ive had it for almost a year!

I looked them up and they look just like flame gouramis.

Yeh they are similar to dwarf gouramis

They are dwarf gourami, just a different colour morph, if that is by dwarf gourami you mean; colisa lalia.
(which i would have thought you do)

Try looking at this in case the flame gourami label in your LFS was incorrect.

Nope, my fish didnt have the stripes on the side that a dwarf gourami has!

No i wish i could provide a pic but im pretty certian that the flame gourami pic i found on google is the same as my dead fish! Matt P no it is not a dwarf.
