I have an 8gal tank, set up with java moss, java ferns, and quite a few rocks. There are two bumblebee gobies in there atm, in freshwater. I have the hob filter upsidedown on the right so that there is a strong current on the bottom so the bloodworms move around. When i fed them some at first they just ignored them, and i moved the filter there and they went crazy for them.

I am thinking of converting it to brackish (SG about 1.003), getting 3 more bbgs and adding 3 zebra nerite snails?

Would this be possible?

Sounds great! I am pretty sure the java moss will work at that specific gravity. I love nerite snails, I have saltwater ones at 1.015 with some anemones and hermit crabs. Hermit crabs are great too. Hermit crabs cannot go to 1.003 though. I hope your tank goes well.

Thanks :D

Do I just slowly add salt until the water is at the sg i want?

Also, are there any other little creatures i can have in my tank? Probably not, i think its full already.

Actually, I might have 10 gobies and 3 snails. This sound good? Both neal monks and Naomi Delventhal say that upto 10 can be kept in a 5 gal. :good:

Since you're converting the tank to brackish, put some tank water in a bucket and mix the salt, and at that to the tank. This way you don't give your fish salt burns :good:

okay :D

thanks for the help. Now I just need to wait another two days....
