Hello all. This is my first post and I will be very appreciative of any help. I am new to fish keeping and set up my tank 3 months ago. It is a 200 litre tank with an external filter, gravel bottom and is well planted with flourishing plants. Ph is about 6.8. It is stocked with 2 x 2" Ancistrus catfish, 8 x black neons, 8 x very small Cardinals. What I would like is two or three larger fish that won't outgrow my tank but will look impressive. That is where I am stuck. Every time I find a fish that I like I find out that it will be too aggressive or destroy my plants or outgrow my tank or something that will put me off getting it. I would love to hear your suggestions. Or alternative stocking ideas. Many thanks.

Gouramis would work well. My personal favorite being the pearls. Get one male and two females. You could also get blues or golds.

I would up the cardinals and neon to around 12, then get a pair of either blue rams, gold rams, electric blues, bolivian rams, apistogrammas or kribensis :good:

Thanks that gives me a few things to research. When you say a 'pair' do you mean a male and a female?
