Help w/apisto pls

my apisto is not looking to good
he's not moving much except to move the new ram out of his space but then thats it,and he's breathing a lil fast.i just did my water change sunday(every sunday).i havn't tested the water but i think it safe to assume the ammo and nitrite levels are fine, my ph holds at 7.2 is that too high?what else could it be?he is wild caught,do you think he is just stressed?what can i do?

i know heavy breathing is usually an ammo problem,and the reason i bring this up is cos i'm thinking maybe stirring up my sand AFTER my water change might have somthing to do w/it.what do you think?

oh all my other fish including a new ram(got'em yesterday) are all doing fine.

Don't have much experiance with Apistos or rams, but it sounds like the apisto may be getting stressed by the ram? Is this a possibility?

no he was already sitting in the corner when i got home yesterday.and the ram wasn't being mean he just happen to be swimming in the apistos area. :what:

Mos, your apisto may be a little miffed by the intro of the ram, but I would test the water anyway as you seem to have added some more fish. Mac.

     never mind,he's dead .found him last night when i got home from work.and i tested the water (ph and ammo)it's fine.the thing that really sucks about it is that those fish are hard to come by,thats the first live one I ever saw. :love:
