Guys, I really need help..

My two mollies had some babies (going to seperate them to stop it happening again) so i've moved some babys into a new tank I setup, and inside the tank is a Tetratec In 400 plus filter, and i wondered where all the fish went... only to lift the filter out and find them all in the area where the sponge is... and I cant for the life of me figure out how to take it apart, and i've lost the manual..

Please, can anyone reccomend what to do, and how to stop this happening? the holes are just big enough for them to get in, so maybe I need to put them back in the older tank till they get bigger?

you should really use a box filter or sponge filter with any baby fish as they are not strong enough to swim away from normal filters. these jusy attach to an airline and are cheap to buy! or the only other thing i could say is to put the net from a breeding trap round the outside of the filter you have so they cant get inside and maybe add some filter wool inside to slow down flowrate or tuern it down if you can!!!
sorry i cnt help you any further

Use the foot part of ladies tights around the intake of the filter.

I have done this before when I have had fry ( both guppy and molly ) and it does work.

It stops them getting pulled in.
