Help! 3Cm Clown Loach Babies Have Ich!

I really wouldn't bother separating them- I don't think it will make any difference as the Ich is already in the water. I treat it with eSHa EXIT Anti-Whitespot treatment, and it clears it from my tank in 3 days. I have guppy fry at the moment and I was treating the water when the mum gave birth to them, and they seem to be fine, so I wouldn't worry about the treatment affecting them. It should clear the tank from it, but I only know that the eSHa EXIT treatment definitely works- yours probably will too.

Agreed, no point separating any fish now as most have it already. Someone else will no doubt be along to advise you about using No.6 and whether to reduce dosage for your clowns as I've never used it. I use Protozin for white-spot and swear by it. Have you added any new fish recently as that's usually what causes white-spot?

Your tank is over-stocked! You have 54 fish in there, all small-ish but they'll grow. Why do you only have 1 cardinal? They should be in a shoal of at least 5 or 6 and not really mixed with neons.

Im planning to get a bigger tank in the future , but all the fish are small and are taken really good care of. The reason as to why there is only one Cardinal is because in my local fish shop when I was buying some fish , I spotted a lone CArdinal. All the other Cardinals were sold and I felt sorry for the stressed little fella so I bought him. He always plays around with the Neons so its fine. :hyper:

Oh ok, well like crazychris said I would wait for someone to come along and tell you whether that's a good med to use or not. If nobody does, I would just go for it- it'll probably be ok :good: good luck!

Well as no-one's come along I'd use the product you have today or the white-spot will be even worse tomorrow. Read the instructions though and see f it says you need to reduce dosage for clown loaches. Shows one on the box so must be okay to use with them! Just don't overdose.

BTW I wasn't having a go at you about your stock but it just seemed a lot.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested turning the temp up and leaving meds alone.

As for dosing with meds you normally have to half dose for clown loach.

You have way too many fish in there, wether they're really well taken care of or not. Even though they are small there is still quite a bit too much, I can't imagine how crammed it must be!? As you've been told before you don't have a filter that will cope either.
