Notfishing

Hi,
I’m new here. I’ve been running our fresh water tropical tank for a couple of years now. We have taken it slowly and built up a nice little community tank by adding small numbers of fish infrequently. It is planted and has a CO2 system, one of the best pieces of bogwood I have ever seen, a diver who endlessly lifts a treasure chest and a seahorse holding a ‘no fishing sign. Oh… and a sunken ship. Yes - this tank is under the influence of my 9y old daughter.
Other than a mass slaughter due to white spot last year (massive guilt trip even now) the tank is pretty stable. I pulled out a lot of the plants recently to make some space to re-plant as it had all got a bit leggy and weedy but that project is on hold until I see what I want. So currently there is less planting than I’m aiming for in the longer term.
I’ve had a huge problem with phosphates
and subsequently algae. Seems our tap water is riddled with it. So I use exclusively RO water and have done for over a year. And the algae is now mostly a non issue
Our mollies have come down with something which is why I’m here. I’ve posted that on the fish emergency room
Forum.
