Hehe My 55gallon Tanks "new" Stock...

Alright, so if anybody out there read my 55gallon tank has been moved to my bathroom. Well... My tanks original stock was 2 angelfish, 1 RTBS, 3 albino cory cats, 1 clown loach, 1 African butterfly fish, 1 whiptailed catfish, 1 BN pleco and 1 clown pleco, all these fish were in my 29gallon tank (I know overstocked!). But, since the flood in my basement 1 angelfish has died. Little to say I'm a bit upset, but I shall go on! I've decided what to do with my tank now! I need to add more stock. So, my new tank stock will be 1 angelfish, 6 albino cory catfish, 1 BN pleco, 1 clown pleco, 1 whiptailed catfish, 1 RTBS and 1 african butterfly fish (which I'll be getting rid of to another tank soon)...

I'm thinking that since I just changed the gravel to a sand bottom, I'm going to add more cory catfish I'm planning on adding 1 more albino (to boost the number to 6), 6 green cory catfish and 6 peppered cory catfish Aswell as a shoal of some kind of tetra (was thinking of red minor or Cherry barbs, you guys tell me which one.)

So, the shoal of tetras I want would be about 6-8... Which ones Red minors or cherry barbs (I know not tetras... I want some red in the tank lol)...

So, what do you guys think?? Oh and the filtration on the tank is 1 Rena XP1, 1 Rena XP3, 1 aquaclear 50 and 1 Fluval 1 internal, for a grand total filtration of 282gallons of filter power

sounds good to me. I would go with the tetras. just my opinion.

Prefect so the final tank stock will be

6 Albino Cory catfish
6 Peppered Cory catfish
6 Grenn Cory catfish
1 Angelfish (might add another 1 or 2)
1 Whiptailed catfish
1 BN pleco
1 Clown pleco
1 RTBS
and 6-8 Red minor tetras.

Do I have the room for the extra angels? as I don't want the middle looking baren...

I'm not sure about the angels. Idk if they would have problems with the RTBS or not.
But that stocking sounds good.

The RTBS was fine the angels originally but I'm giving to my GF tonight

CUT THE SERPAE TETRAS OUT NOW.

They will kill your angelfish since they are the biggest nippers I have ever heard of!

Get a different tetra instead.

why take out serpea tetras?
in a big schoal they should be fine.

I've had Serpeas before with my Angels and they got one fine for over a year.

I'd love to have Pandas, but unfortunatly here they're $10 a pop! I really don't want to spend $60 on them lol as wonderful looking as they are lol...

And like I said for the Sepreas I had them with my big angel (the only angel I currently have left) for well over a year, until I got rid of them. If they have a group of 6 or more they tend to be ALOT less nippy...

I have 6 Serpaes in with my gourami, they've never bothered it. You can try it and if it doesn't work out you can always return them. (Check w/ your LFS first to make sure they'll take them back)

Well the LPS is petsmart and I work there... so my manager shouldn't have an issue lol
