coz its a reasonably hot day today, the temp has gone up about 2-3 degrees, my guppy and platy is getting really stressed, she has a little bubble on her skin, like a blister, i fear that my heaters thermostat doesnt work, my first glimpse of this was 2 months ago when i had trouble turning the temp up or down, i think i still have that problem, so normally the heater would be working at 28 degrees(high, i know.. but it was stuck) now it has gone up 2-3 degrees celcius... i have tried to turn it down, is there anything else i can do?

Heaters only HEAT, they don't cool... if it is a hot day, and your temp has gone up, turning your heater down won't do anything. If your temp is set a bit lower to begin with (like 26 or so), A hot day's 2-3 degree raise in temp may make it rise to 28-29, which isn't as bad as 30-31. :) You could always put in some ice cubes, and some de-chlorinating ####e. But just set your temp to 26. That should make it a little better for the next day. :D

I would buy a new heater.
In warmer weather increase aeration. Maybe run a fan in the room.

Does the bubble move.

could a chiller work?

or, put some ice cubes in, fishes love them, or get a really cold bottle of water and float it in the tank. :)

Don't bother with ice cubes it's a waste of time. The temp soon goes back up in warmer weather.
It just stresses the fish with changing the temp.
Just increase aeration and run a fan in the room, close curtains or blind.

I had to buy another heater as my juwel heater got stuck at a certain temp and wouldn't switch off.
