I Purchased 5 of these tiny guy 2 days ago and put them in with my fighter fish. There was no problems at all.
However yesterdat one died and i dont have a clue how. And today another has died. Todays one looks as if it tail was partially bitten off.

I have moved them to my other tank with my Angelfish but im not sure whats happening.

I cant help but notice a strange smell coming from my fighters tank, awfully like a gas smell. Any ideas how to sort it or what it is?

When i first noticed it yesterday i immediatly done a 50% water change, water was somewhat still murky and now still smells!

Please Help before the rest of my little fellows die!

UPDATE!

After moving the rasboras almost 4 minutes ago the angelfish seems to be attacking them!!!

I have nowwhere to put them now!

and they are staying literally at the top of the water, they werent doing this at the fish shop!

quite possible the betta attacked them.. or nibbled it after it dier.. water stats? ammonia nitirite nitrate... do you get these from a local store with same water supply etc?

The smell sounds like ammonia; probably due to one rotting in the tank..worth doing another water change (30%?).
Rasboras are small enough to be angelfish food.. better in with the betta. take em back to the lfs if you have nowhere else? (not even a clean bucket you can put somewhere warm ?)

I have them just put them back into the bettas tank, attack one violently , rasbora survived luckily. Took them out and put them into a bowl.

I will have to take them back to a fish shop tomorrow but i dont think they will survive the night :(

Hopefully they will.. harlequins can be quite hardy. try adding some melafix if the attacked one is hurt at all, keep the bowl at a steady temp, and dont feed them so the water doesnt deteriorate in quality.. they should be OK. Good luck!

The tank isn't cycled.
