Hi, I was looking into getting one of these Fluval Executive Aquarium's they look very sleek, But i can't find any information on what the tank size is and what they come with. Also, what are you opinions on what the stocking can be in there?

Thanks!

Think this needs to go in the hardware section, not emergencies.

That tank is known to me as the Fluval Edge, loads of stuff on the internet about them & at least 1 long thread on here.

Oh sorry wrong section i thought this was Tropical Discussion please someone move it there ty.
Ahh yes you are correct it is the Fluval Edge. It appears to be 10 gallons kind of okay i guess. I was wondering about the style is it good for fish or a gimmick?

We sell them where I work, Fluval Edge. They are quite common amongst new fish-keepers.
23 Litres I think they are, certainly 20+
Im not sure about the price, Its around 80 I think.

James.

Not much can be kept in tanks this small! The best combination would be a betta, a couple of dwarf African frogs, and perhaps some cherry shrimps and nerite snails. Or you might try a few brackish water gobies, something like a trio of Chlamydogobius eremius. But we're talking about 24 litres/6 US gallons, which is far less than you'd want even for neons or Corydoras hastatus, so there's not much you could keep in terms of community tropicals.

Like a lot of these "yuppy" aquaria -- BiOrbs for example -- you're paying for design rather than functionality. The lighting is weak, the water capacity minimal, the filtration basic. In the right hands I'm sure one of these tanks could be turned into something quite stylish. But as an aquarium for practical fish-centred fishkeeping, they're of little to no value.

Cheers, Neale

you could put nano fish in here such as
axelrodi rasboras (red or blue)
rasbora brigittae
ember tetras (all only get to 2 cm)
cherry shrimp to clean

You could put them in there, but I'd hardly recommend it is a mere 6 gallons. Even if you use the dumb inch-per-gallon rule, that's a total of six or seven of these fish altogether. For small, nervous, schooling fish, that's not much of an existence! All those fish would be far happier, and far prettier, in a bigger group in a 10 gallon tank, where you could keep a dozen quite nicely.
