ok so up till yesterday i didnt know they were gonna attack each other

is it worth seperating them?

How decorated's the tank?

Some are much less aggressive if you break up their line of sight. Others are only aggressive around feeding time and you can work around this with clever feeding. Others still will rip each other apart no matter what you do.

can you elaborate on the clever feeding? my puffer is only aggressive during feeding time.

Phoenixbaby - Try planting or putting decor throughout the middle of the tank too - break up line of sight. At the moment they can see each other from across the tank and that might be inspiring aggression over territory.

dpcamp - Start hand-feeding (use long tweezers for reptile feeding or tongs etc) and feed from opposite ends of the tank at the same time. The other thing you can do is put in a divider during feeding sessions - you can buy these (the only brand I know is Penn Plax) or make your own :)

its being moved around this week :)

btw is carbon ok in my filter or not?

Carbon's fine, unless you need to add meds in which case you should remove it until the treatment's over. Where possible, don't use meds with puffers as they're very sensitive fish. Meds should only really be used in difficult or severe cases :)

GSP are well known for nipping and dive bombing other Puffers, they dont generally do well together.

theyre being seperated soon, and im only keeping one

i was told to keep them as a group. but have found out this isnt the case, oh well least im gonna sort it :good:

It is possible to keep more than one GSP, esp if they're the same size, are introduced at the same time and grow up together. That said, it's very much dependent on the individual personality of the GSPs - some people are more lucky than others :)

ive already picked the lil guy im keeping

just selling bits in order to buy my new 35gallon tank, and skimmer too

will be running two filters on the tank aswell, externals, filtering for more than the tank size ( i like to filter for more than the tank capacity)

Cool! :D It sounds like you've got a good plan there. You might wanna think about protein skimmers in the future too :)
