Growing Daphnia

Okay I want to start to grow daphnia but I don't know the first thing about it. I have a 2 litter clear soda bottle that I could use and was wondering if this would be suitable? I also have glass jars that could be used for growing alage to feed the daphnia. Where wpuld I be able to get some daphnia? And if anybody could give me step by step instructions that would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

I just read somewhere that daphnia can be found at ponds. Is this true? and if so how would I go about collected it? Thanks
