had 4 green tiger barbs for the last 4 months or so i think, 2 died friday, with no marks or any sign of ill ness. one of the barbs is fine getting big moving well and eating well too. how ever the other is not as big not moving too much either, and not looking too good at all. couldn't find that one this morning, didn't have time to look for it.

would there be any reason for this?

What are your water parameters, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.

What size is your tank and how many fish are in there? Did you add any new fish? Are they flashing rubbing on rocks? How often do you clean that tank and what is the amount of the water you change?

Sorry for all the question but we need a bit more info to help. Maybe you water parameters are not stable.

For now I would do a water change to see if that helps your fish out.

i do a water change every week i take out about 20-40 liters out's it's a 120lt tank. (always treat the water) i checked the water just before the water change on friday, every thing was spot on. sorry can't remember what the numbers where but all were good. ph normally about 7 ish the nitrate leavle where 3> (i think). no flicking on the rocks that i have noticed.

the barbs were put in with 4 more harlequins and a reed fish at the same time they all seem fine? a good few months ago. all the other fish seem fine, (apart from my molly, who got pop eye, which has been treated and is better than she was, but as a result not got great eye sight)

i have the following

6 harlequins
4 (big) tiger barbs
2 green barbs
2 corys
plec
reed fish
2 rams
molly
4 black neons

sorry should have encluded this brfore.
