 My 46 gallon tank has been invaded by green algae! It's most visible on my white roman temple where the top has been enguled in green algae. I have one otto and have been looking around for more, but so far I haven't found any healthy one. I tried scrubbing the algae off with a toothbrush, but it's so difficult to remove that if I scrub too hard the paint fades. The tank has live live plants, so I don't think I can use drops to remove algae. The light is on for about 10 hours a day and is a 30 watt plant light. I don't know what else to do! :/

Until you get some more algae eating help, like more otos or perhaps a bristlenose pleco then i would suggest that you shut your lights off for a couple of hours during the middle of the day. Algae needs continuous light to thrive and lack of it will cause it to die back over time. HTH
