what is the best cleaners that you can get for a:

Small and Medium tank?

thanks!

its a small med tank though and i thought pythons were a more US thing (theres a nice thread todo your own in the DIY section though) as for a vacuum what substrate do you have i use sand and in the end the best thing for me was a length of garden hose :D that was after i spent £4 on a vacuum :grr:

I use a python to vacuum sand. But, I had to get a smaller siphon and hose to put inside the python's hose because I didn't have enough suction with the siphon that came with the python. It works well.

there are all sorts of gravel cleaners available on the market in a variety of sizes. but a length of vinyl hosing bought at the local hardware store will do the trick at about 1/4 the cost.

for easy refilling, buy a garden hose of appropriate length and a faucet adapter. (tell the guy at the hardware store that you want to connect a hose to your kitchen/bathroom sink and he'll know what you need.) but if your dealing with tanks that are 20g and under, a 5g bucket might be all you really need.
