Ok everybody I have one mogurnda mogurnda in a 10 gallon aquarium. I know it's too big for the size and I bought it after expecting it to be similar to a bumblebee goby. I decided to keep so I could attempt to breed it. I can't afford a bigger aquarium. I may be moving on my college campus soon and the limit is 10 gallons. I thought it would be best to donate him back to the pet store so somebody with more room could keep him  It really pains me but I think it would be for the best. He is also extremely aggressive and after considering what I wanted in a tank, I felt this conclusion was best. I have an aquarium thats pretty planted, 3 dwarf sags, pennywort(I'm not sure), cryptocoryne, java fern and moss, and driftwood.

I'm thinking about stocking my aquarium again, and thinking about doing it smartly this time. I was thinking about 2 dwarf gouramis, and some rasaboras or something similar. Now I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I read the post on stocking a 10 gallon and I really like gouramis but just wanted some experienced input. Thanks a lot!

dwarf gouramis tend to carry/ quickly get diseases, so you may have to be careful if you decide to buy them.
Sorry that you have to rehome your fish :(

I've kept quite a few dwarf gouramis and ten gallons is far too little space for two of them. You could easily keep a single male with a few small shoaling fish like the rasboras or perhaps a few dwarf corydoras or kuhli loaches (the loaches would require a sandy substrate). Many algae shrimp are well suited to smaller tanks, though they may get munched on by a gourami or similar fish. Amanos and cherry shrimp are fairly common though there are several other varieties.

I currently have a ten gallon running with one male betta, four kuhli loaches and an amano shrimp, well planted with fine sand substrate and bogwood. I may add a few more shrimp in the future but other than that I'm leaving stocking as is.

I'd go for Honey Gouramis, as the Dwarfs are susceptible to a fatal disease that seems to be untreatable at the moment.
