The plec is a Gibbiceps, and the next pic is my Severum.
the 55g has a few platies and stuff, but those pics were taken at about 11pm last night so most of the fish were resting at the bottom. That is quite a lively tank!!
As for the 50g, I can't add anything else as the Severum has deecided that he doesn't like anyone except his 2 pals the rainbow cichlids. Anything else I try to add in there will just get destroyed!! I've tried movinf rocks etc, but he isn't stupid!!
If anyone has anysuggestions on any fish I could put in the top level that aren't going to become Sev food, I'd be willing to give them a go!!!

really nice

Cheers Dwarf_Dude. I'm actually about to re do that tank in the next month or so. I'm going to change to black sand, and get rid of those bloody horrible red lava rocks. I did like them, but every time I see them I hate them a bit more!!!
When I've done it I'll repost pics, and we'll see what it looks like then!!!! :D

Cheers Nutter.
Chooklet, that tanks you nominated has my Royal Plec in! If you look at the bit of wood at the left end of the tank; thats his hangout!!!

Great tank. From what I noticed, you extended the eheim spray bar across the length of the tank? Clever idea!

Deffinatly deserves the TOTM nomination for the first one, I Really love its clean tropical look!

Ben

The first tank is a real jewel - there were some pointers from a planted tank source that mentioned that if you remove some of the hardware like airstones or filters for photos that it really increases the value of the photo and shows off the fish and layout better. I'd suggest doing that for the first photo before you add the picture to the TOTM competition - it should improve your chances...
Best of luck - it's a real looker.

ALASKA

Thanks jams.alaskan haven't seen you for a while; nice to have you back. Cheers ben, and Konrad05; I did that to create loads of surface agitation during the summer as the tank temp went up to about 90 degrees F!!!
