I havent got the 215L tank yet... within 3 weeks i will.

I have 2 Black Ghost Knifes, 1 Bristlenose, and 2 neon tetras.
And yes, i know the BGK's will eat the neons once theyre bigger!! found out AFTER i bought the fish.

What will go well with these fish and tank? I do like catfish, and anything unusual. whats the most fish i can have?

Ive heard 215L is a bit small for bgk's, is this true, or can i get away with it?

If it is too small, would 285L be ok which is 75US GAL.

Also, whats the diff between dry gallons and liquid gallons?

What would happen to a fish in a tank slightly too small??

basically stunt its growth. but if the fish's growth doesn't get stunted than you have a huge fish in a small tank making a bunch of ruckus and being unhappy and all the other fish may be affected.

thats just the quick run down...

what actually happens is your fish's skin slows growing vastly, yet the fish's internal organs keep growing so you get a fat and growingly more unhappy fish as it gets squashed from the inside out!

actually i think they proved that this was false. there is a topic in, i think, new world cichlids that goes into a lot of detail about it.
i can't find it at the moment but it's a good topic.

i do however agree that a BGK is too big for that size tank

The tank is too small for the BGK, but that's been covered already so I'm not going to nag. :shifty:

Anyway, BN are pretty docile, while BGK will most likely eat anything smaller than their mouth. So tankmates should include larger non-aggresive fish.
