hello does anyone know any good landscaping shops online to buy large rocks to go into my mbuna aquarium. Rocks at my lfs are so expensive. Also any other ideas where to get cheap rocks? thanks

you would be best of looking in a local garden centre then.

around me a rock is about £3.99 (they are abit big for the average tank though)

i bought about 9 and broke them down for my tank and it worked well

Is there a recommended method of cleaning these rocks purchased from a garden centre? Last thing I want is to contaminate my tank!

pour vinegar on the rocks and if they fizz they are bad..... also if u put the rocks in a bath or somethiong with 10-15% bleech then it should clean the rocks...

just add a few drops of vinegar or api nitrate test bottle #1 to each rock to test it.

Unless your tank is full of African Rift Cichlids.
