Goldfish + Platies

i currently have a 10gal tank with 2 cories and 5 dwarf platies, i also have a fantail goldfish in a 2.5 gal tank can the goldfish be put with the platies?

Not really, platys prefer water temps of 26Deg, where goldfish more at the 19deg mark

the goldfish will require a 20 gal tank to itself and then 10 gal after for each additional goldfish, this is due to the amount of waste they produce
but as steady said you really souldn't mix the two

Also, once your goldfish gets bigger (which he will if you get him a bigger tank...as others have said, he really will need at least 10 gallons soon) he'll probably try to make a meal of the platties. I've seen them try to stuff all sorts of smaller fish in their mouths
