i have 3 adult gold barbs.

in a 180 litre community tank, housed with tiger barbs, kissing gourami, golden gourami, blue dwarf gourami, angel fish, royal pleco, common pleco and a rock shrimp.

water stats are fine, however they mite be off a little as ive just moved and only reset the tank up today.
and when placing the fish bck into the tank, i noticed that 1 of the little gold barbs had like a red patch on its side like on the scales...or under them...
not sure what it is?
is the fish bleeding internally?
its swimming around ok...and its staying with the other 2 in its shoal.
and is there anything that can be done?

all other fish are fine :D

Hows this tank filtered as you seem quite heavily stocked?

How many of each fish.
How big are the plecs.
How often do you maintain the tank.

Bleeding beneath the skin and red patches can be septicemia. Hard to cure once it advances.
Make sure there no signs of flicking and rubbing. As septicemia can also be caused by parasites.

Your tank looks overstocked to me aswell.

You will need to use a bacterial med if you suspect septicemia.
It's best to issolate the sick fish as the bacteria from the fish can enter the tank.

water changes are done weekly. without fail!

my plecs are still very small. both less than 5 inches atm.
i have 4 tiger barbs. all different colours. (2 green, 1 normal, 1 albino)
rock shrimp is id say about 2 inches.
kissing gourami will get much larger i know but is still small less than 6 inches atm.
same as the golden gourami.

my filter is a fluval 2 plus. so fairly large filter
working fine, keeps my tank water clean and clear.

The filter not big enough for your size tank.
I would anti internal bacteria med by interpet. If you can't issolate the sick fish.
