Hey all

Im going on holiday on friday for two weeks.

My next door neighbour will be left in charge to feed the fish, hes had tropical fish himself but not for a fair few years now. I dont want my fish over/underfed, or given something they dont eat, so was going to put the food in little plastic cups for each feed so all he has to do is pour in. I dont trust them auto feeders, heard alot about malfunctioning and dumping the whole food in.

I usually feed them once a day, but i dont want 14 plastic cups sitting there lol, so i was wondering if my fish would be okay in being fed once every two days? If so, do i make the portions slightly bigger?

Thanks
Ian

your fish could quite easily survive being fed once a week so im sure once every two days wont be a problem :good:

When I go on holiday:
For a week: No feeds at all
For more than a week: once every 3 or 4 days

what do people think of the holiday fish food feeding blocks....i put one in once about an hour before a set off on my hol last year......to catch my plec finishing it off.....it was meant to last a week

I personally don't like the feeding blocks although I don't think they will harm anything. If you don't want cups sitting out all over the place, use an ice tray to divide the food up. As stated before fish can go days with out being fed. It's really up to you if you want them fed everyday or every other day, make no difference.
