Glittery Convict Cihlid

My convict cichlid is just lying around and now glittery speccles have appeared on its scales any one know why ?

The convict has a parasitic infection call "velvet". Use a med like "anti velvet and slime" by Interpet to treat the fish, does the tank have any invertebrates/crustaceons/molluscs in it?

The parasite is deadly if left untreated and is quite infectious, you should treat all of the fish in the tank, the sooner you treat the fish the better.

Do i have to apply the med to the fish directly or to the water ?
