Glass Verses Plexi Glass

I brought one 5 gal aquarium home that is made of plexi glass, and my sister told me that plain glass is better?
So I went to the store and bought a 6 gal glass one, now I am undecided on which one to keep? I prefer the shape of the plexi glass one and the sides are seamless? Will that make it last longer. Anyone had experience owning both? Which one is better for durability and for keeping it's look? I need to return one to the store while it's still refundable so an anwser would be appreciated. I find plexi to last longer but it is much easier to scratch them up.

Just be careful with it when cleaning and moving hard objects around or in it and it ill be fine.

plexi-glass (acrylic) is stronger, its clearer, doesnt way as much, and is shatter proof. But it scratches easily. Glass, isnt as clear, but is easier to clean. Acrylic is also more expensive for smaller tanks.

Does plexi glass accumulate calcium water deposits on it the same as the glass one? If so, how would you clean these deposits off plexi glass?

some people use credit cards (i would feel safer using an expired credit card )
